Obituary for Hazel Marie Rayburn

Graveside services for Hazel Rayburn, 95, of Athens are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens, Texas under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.

Ms. Rayburn passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015 in Athens, Texas.

Hazel Marie Klepper Rayburn was born July 3, 1920 in Pottawatime County, Oklahoma the daughter of Oscar Klepper and Ollie Mae Burress Klepper. She enjoyed playing Bridge and Bingo and games on her computer. Hazel loved spending time with her family; was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt who will be missed by all she knew and loved.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Clyde Rayburn and her sister Wanda Selter.

Hazel is survived by her two children, Ronald Rayburn of Athens, Jeanette Covington and husband Carl of Conroe; brother Mel Klepper of Leesburg, Florida; nephew Dee Klepper of Orlando, Florida; four grandchildren, Russell Rayburn of Palestine, Robin Cotton of Chandler, Rev. Kevin Covington of Andrews, Dr. Jeff Covington of New Braunfels and thirteen great grandchildren.
