Funeral services for Brenda McGee will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gene Bishop officiating. Interment will follow at Carroll Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. McGee went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 13, 2016 in Athens, Texas in the presence of her loving family.

Brenda Lois Lambright McGee was born on September 11, 1947 in Athens, Texas, daughter of Charlie B. Lambright Jr. and Dorothy Lawson Lambright. Brenda was a member of the Shady Oaks Baptist Church in Athens, was a Girls in Action Leader, a dedicated Vacation Bible School Teacher and she enjoyed serving on Tres Dias Weekends. She loved to cook and do crafts such as woodworking, making angels and painting. Mamaw especially loved her family, spending time with her children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all she knew and loved.


She is preceded in death by her parents.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband Clinton “Jackie”McGee of Athens; four children, Ricky Lynn Pierce and wife Patty of Mabank, Tammy Rene Rushing and husband Tommy of Little Elm, Clinton Andreas “Andy” McGee of Austin, Cindy Katherine McGee of Austin; one sister Charlcie Dee Reynolds and husband Jim of Corsicana; seven grandchildren, Alisha Pierce, Bridgett Wilkerson, Taylor Rushing, Caleb Rushing, Ariel Ferguson, Jaxzen Perez, Dameon Wilkerson; two great grandchildren, Abby Ortiz, Elaysia Ortiz and two nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
