Funeral services for Joana H. Coulter, 85 of Athens, Texas formerly of South Carolina will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 7, 2016 at Leesville United Methodist Church Cemetery in Laurens, South Carolina.
Mrs. Joana went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 3, 2016 in Athens, Texas.

Joana Herman Holland Coulter was born on May 27, 1931 in Concord, North Carolina the daughter of Claude David Herman and Dollie Josie Robinette Herman. She was a member of the Millbrook Baptist Church in Aiken, South Carolina and enjoyed traveling internationally. Those who knew her best knew what a well-dressed lady she was and that beautiful jewelry was a passion. She loved to dance, walk, and make hand-sewn quilts. Jo was an amazing cook and homemaker known for her chocolate pies. Joana was a loving wife, sister, and aunt who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Carl and Alfred Herman.

Joana is survived by her husband Levi Coulter of Orlando, Florida; sister Julie Carroll Blythe and husband Doug of Athens, Texas; a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
