Athens – Memorial gathering for William Satterfield, 78, of Athens will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. at the Windsor Place RV Estates in Athens, Texas

Mr. Satterfield passed away on Wednesday October 12, 2016 in Athens.


William Talmadge Satterfield, son of J.C. Satterfield and Mattie Avis Culpepper Satterfield, was born on August 25, 1938 in Corsicana, TX. He was married to love of his life Carol Chloe Morgan Satterfield . William was a Machinist for Bell Rubber Co. and served in the United State Air Force .

He was a member of the Athens Praise and Worship Center, He was an avid outdoorsman, he loved walking around on his land and fishing, he also loved Reading and gardening, decorating for Christmas. He was a loving man who enjoyed spending time with his family, but above all he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

William is preceded in death by his parents; brother Clayton Satterfield and son Mark Satterfield.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Satterfield of Athens; children, Michael Satterfield and wife Shelly of Hutchinson, Kansas, Michelle Fisher and husband David of Wichita, Kansas and Milisa Jeter and husband Robert of Terrell, Tx; sisters Pat Peterson (Petey) of Fresno, CA and Peggy Kirkey of Athens, Tx; Five grandchildren, Jocelyne Simmons, Karalyne Malloy, Alissa Satterfield, Kelsi Jeter, and Britney Satterfield; one great grandchild, Cooper Malloy.
